Paktor Raises US$10 Million for Expansion in Japan, South Korea

Paktor, a Singaporean startup focusing on social networking and dating app, announced to raise US$10 million Series C funding led by YJ Capital, the corporate venture firm of Yahoo Japan, to expand into Japan and South Korea, reported China Times on July 11. Aside from YJ Capital, the investors in this round of funding also include Global Grand Leisure, Golden Equator Capital, Sebrina Holdings, Vertex Asia Fund, MNC Media Group, Majuven and Convergence Ventures, etc. While Paktor's app is launched in Northeast Asia, the company also manages to strengthen its marketing in Indonesia, and to meet the increasing needs of O2O (Online to Offline) services in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand ,Taiwan and Korea. Paktor is targeting at least US$10 million in revenue for 2016.
